Polish National Flag Day

Today we celebrate the holiday of the national white and red colors, called the Day of the Flag. It is a national holiday in Poland introduced by an act issued on 20 February 2004. The holiday is celebrated on the day between two national holidays: 1st May (called International Workers Day) and 3rd May (Constitution Day). Various types of patriotic actions, friends meetings, events and demonstrations are organized on this day. The aviation community always participates in these events in a special way, emphasizing their importance. Every pilot is proud to take a flag on board his plane and make a special flight. This year it was a big challenge due to unfavorable weather conditions. Streams of rain prevented safe take-off and landing. However, patience while waiting for the weather window was rewarded. We did it. Finally, the occasional flag flight was made to celebrate the day from our home airport EPNC. Let's all celebrate together !
