Polish Aviation Day

August 28 is an exceptional date in the aviation calendar. Today we celebrate the Polish Aviation Day - a joint celebration of civil and military aviation, aviators, air navigation services, ground personnel and all people related to the aviation industry. Every year, on this occasion, ceremonies are held in front of the Monument to the Honor of Polish Aviators Fallen in 1939-1945 and the Monument to the Aviator in Warsaw. This year, the main celebration of the Polish Aviation Day took place in Warsaw. And I have just arrived at the Monument in honor of the Polish Aviators Fallen in 1939–1945 situated on the edge of Pole Mokotowskie, a place that has become a permanent part of the history of Polish aviation. I made an honorable bow. Earlier, wreaths and bouquets of flowers were placed by representatives of state authorities, aviation and veterans. During the ceremony, a letter from the Minister of National Defense was read out, and the awards and honorary titles of "Zasłużony Pilot Wojskowy" were presented. On this day, I am always particularly proud that I am also among the pilots.
