The 90th Anniversary LOT Polish Airlines


Polish national airlines, created on December 29, 1928 from the connection - operating in Poland - of private Aerolot & Aero and Śląskie Towarzystwo Lotnicze. True activity began on January 1, 1929 and they are one of the oldest active airlines in the world. The company belongs to the Star Alliance and owns the following companies: LOT Travel, CEES, WRO-LOT, LOT Crew and LOT Charters, LOT Cargo, LOT Flight Academy.

b&w pic (up): celebration of the decade (10th Anniversary) of LOT Polish Airlines operations. President of the Republic of Poland Ignacy Mościcki in the company of Deputy Minister of Communications Aleksander Bobkowski and Director of PLL LOT Wacław Makowski, while visiting the airport (1939), (down) in the spring of 1936, the Junkers factory adopted 9 very worn Junkers F-13 planes, previously used in Poland on passenger lines. They were then scrapped by the manufacturer, and in exchange were given one Ju-52. He received SP-AKX marks and flew to Berlin and Thessaloniki (June 1939 on SKG/LGTS airport).
